The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) hosted an inaugural interactive meeting with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) at Vizag, marking a significant milestone in fostering business collaborations and knowledge sharing between interstate chambers.
The President of VCCI M Sudarsan Swamy emphasized the shared cultural and traditional ties between the two states, highlighting the opportunities for collaboration and mutual growth. He noted that, following the bifurcation, Visakhapatnam has become a burgeoning hub for IT industries, with major companies such as Infosys and TCS planning to set up their facilities in the city.
The President of FKCCI MG Balkrishna proposed the development of relationships for mutual benefits, focusing on the development of trade and business between the two chambers. He invited VCCI members to participate in events like Bharat Utsav, conducted annually in association with the Government of Karnataka, and the Renewable Energy Summit in 2025. He also expressed FKCCI's interest in participating in VCCI events.
Ms Uma Reddy Sr Vice President indicated that a "Concept Note" program has been introduced, which includes 3 knowledge workshops aimed at providing students with insights and skills relevant to industry needs. The program also features a substantial prize pool of 10 lakhs to reward talented students, as well as support through incubation facilities to help them turn their ideas into successful ventures.
Several members from both VCCI and FKCCI took to the stage, sharing their thoughts and ideas on the potential collaboration between the two chambers. They expressed their strong desire to work together, leveraging each other's strengths and expertise to drive growth, innovation, and economic development in both regions.
This interactive meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between two interstate chambers VCCI and FKCCI, with a focus on collaboration, mutual growth, and development.
