AWARENESS WORKSHOP ON ESG & SUSTAINABLE GROWTH FOR MSMES
ORGANIZED BY FICCI CENTRE FOR SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP IN COLLABORATION WITH VCCI

The workshop focused on the theme: “Sectoral Pathways to ESG: Strengthening MSME Competitiveness through Responsible Business.”

Shri Kondapalli Srinivas Garu, Hon’ble Minister for MSMEs & SERP, Government of Andhra Pradesh, graced the workshop. Shri Thammireddy Sivasankara Rao Garu, Hon’ble Chairman, APMSMEDC, along with senior government officials, also participated in the event.

Prior to the workshop, Hon’ble Minister Shri K. Srinivas Garu had a brief interaction with the dignitaries, during which the President Shri M Sudarsan Swamy and Shri Bhanoji Venkat, Executive Member, were present.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address by VCCI President Mr. Sudarsan Swamy, who set the tone for the day’s deliberations.

Key highlights included:

• Emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) as a global standard for trade, finance, and compliance.
• ESG adoption is essential for MSMEs to access new markets, attract green finance, and build resilient supply chains.
• Insights from industry leaders, government officials, and experts on sustainable manufacturing, compliance frameworks, and green finance.
• Announcement of future interactions by FICCI and VCCI to support SMEs in ESG adoption through tech, finance access, and policy facilitation.

The initiative aims to empower Andhra Pradesh MSMEs to become globally competitive and sustainable.
