The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce & Industry held its Annual General Body Meeting on 24^th June 2022 at Taj Gateway Hotel Visakhapatnam. On this occasion Mr D V Raju, President, VCCI welcomed all the members to the AGM & highlighted about the activities of the Chamber in the past year. Mr G Veera Mohan, Hony. Secretary made a detailed presentation on the activities organized & participated by VCCI. He mentioned that this was a wonderful year both in organizing more no. of events & the quality of the events as well. Mr R Satish, Hony. Treasurer, briefed the members about the financials of the Chamber. Whereas Mr Rolland Williams, Executive Committee Member proposed the Vote of Thanks thanking all the stake holders in taking the Chamber’s agenda forward.

On this special occasion of the AGM, the VCCI also organized the VCCI Excellence Awards 2022 have been instituted to recognize organization and individuals services during Covid-19. The Recognitions of Covid Response honored the contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that have worked valiantly over the past two years to keep us safe, healthy, employed, and informed. Ms. Vanitha Datla, Vice Chairperson & Managing Director, ELICO Ltd was invited as Chief Guest. VCCI has been conducting Excellence Awards since 2018 and we are doing it in 2years interval. This is the 3^rd successful year. Through these awards VCCI recognizes the organizations who have demonstrated unique vision and achievement in support of our region’s economy and betterment of the business community.

Mrs. Vanitha conveyed her heartfelt gratitude for inviting her for the function and gave a very gentle speech about herself and was very happy that so many people have rendered their relentless services during the pandemic. She congratulated all the winners and said that all the people who did amazing service are winners. The awards function came to an end with the vote of thanks by the newly elected President Mr.R.Satish
