Ms Gita Krishnankutty (Regional Head of Inward Investment Southern India – British Deputy High Commission Bengaluru) and Mr Dheeraj Malladi (Inward Investment Adviser AP & Telangana – British Deputy High Commission Hyderabad) had visited VCCI office for interaction with our members.
Considering the rich number of alumni and family members of alumni of UK universities present, many from the premier institutes like University of Oxford, London School of Economics and Political Sciences, Kings College London and University of Warwick amongst others, she suggested that VCCI could have a forum for UK Alumni. Basing on this we have now started VCCI British Isles Alumni Forum.
Any induvial who has studied in any educational institute of the British Isles region is requested to join the forum. British Isles majorly constitutes of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
The forum would function under the parent VCCI body with active participation of all members especially the Women’s Wing and Youth Wing. Non-VCCI members would also be welcomed to enrol. We propose to start similar forums for North America, European Union, Oceania and Asia. Our life member, Mr. Vidur Kedia could be coordinating these forums. He can be contacted on +91 9490263190.
The forum plans to interact with High commission officials during their visits to the city to bolster relations. It would assist businesses that plan to expand their presence in the respective region of the forum providing practical information to the intended city level possibly. They would also be doing the hand holding for new students those who would be embarking on their educational journey abroad.
